Blessings in a Backpack Southern Wisconsin Chapter mobilizes community volunteers, schools, government agencies, and businesses to provide weekend meals to school children who are facing food insecurity. We partner with local schools to deliver nutritious, child-friendly food to ensure that local children have food for the weekends. As of May 2026, Blessings provides food for almost 4100 school-aged children through 60 partner school sites. It's estimated that nearly 11,000 children under the age of 17 in Waukesha County are suffering from food insecurity and not knowing where their next meal will come from!
